2014: Have you had a good year

Hi everyone!

 Today I´ll tell you about my last year. I think that this year has been very difficult for me and my family. In March, my grandmother died, I felt very sad with that. My grandmother was the best person in the world, she was very tender with everyone, I will always love her. In April, I lost my uncle too, called Carlos, he was very sympathetic with me, I hope he is fine now .

 In the university all is well. I passed all my subjects, with a very good marks, and I feel that I learned

 a lot of things about different topics like legal psychology, and clinical psychology specially. This year I take a choice, I decided to follow the clinical area, I love it! . This semester also, we choose our subjects, I feel very good with my decision, because I love coaching, systemic psychology and vocational assessment and the others subject are fine too. 

Personally, in a emotional level the things are not very well, I finished a relation of one year and five mouth, I felt very sad, but now I feel fine again. My friends have been the best, because they understand me, they support me and the most important the want me :). Other important thing, is that, this year I meet a lot of new good  friends like Clo, Maca, Williams, Felo and Charlie. They are very nice, tenders and good friends :)

The best day of my life

Hi everyone!

Today I'll tell you about the best day of my life. In my life, has been a lot of beautiful moments, emotions and happiness. I can´t remember "the best day" I think that I had a lot of "best days". But if I must to choose one day, I prefer one day of February, to the last summer.  

The last summer was wonderful for me, with my boyfriend (ex-boyfriend now) went to Pichilemu beach, located in the sixth region. I enjoyed it! We went to the beach, to the countryside, and we saw beautiful places and landscapes. Together we spent beautiful moments for one week.

The first day, we went to Cahuil, a beach next to Pichilemu, this place was beautiful and small, very cute J . The second day, we went to Pichilemu in the night, to a party in the beach called “La puntilla”, in this place we drank very much hahaha we drank beer, pisco and “terremoto” .

  I don’t remember exactly, what we did the other days but the last day we walked to the shore, collecting sea shells. We visited other beaches like Punta de Lobos and Playa Hermosa, and we discovered a secret beach near to the forest.

I think that this moment would be possible to repeat, maybe with him or maybe with other person. The life is unpredictable and gives you surprises everyday.

A journey that I would like to make in the future

My favourite movie

Hi everyone!!

Today I´m going to talk about my favourite movie. I don´t know what is my favourite movie, I have a lot!, like Remember me, Life is beautiful, My sister´s keeper, The ugly truth and Black Swan, but I think that my favourite movie is Black Swan <3.

Black Swan is  directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel and Mila Kunis. It is about a beautiful and young ballet dancer called Nina Sayers. She lives with  her mother, Erica a manipulative mother. Nina was in a famous company and she must to compete for the principal role of the black swan. In the fight for the main role appears Lily. Nina is perfect for the White Swan role, and Lily is perfect for the Black Swan rol.

In the development of the story Nina  becomes obsessed, not eating, trains hardand she has a psychological problems, she has delirium and psychosis. Finally she win the main role but she die in the presentation.

Other of my favourites movies is Remember me.  This movie relates about two adolescents, Tyler and Ally. Tyler is a sad and artistic New York student; he was estranged from his father since the suicide of his elder brother Mark. Ally is a beautiful young girl who witnesses the senseless murder of her mother. She is the daughter of a police sergeant They have nothing in common but they meet each other and finally they fall in love yet just when things seem to work out, fate strikes destroy everything.

I like these movies because the end is tragic hahaha, I don´t like the happy ending.

My future job

Hi everyone!!

Today I’m going to tell you about my future job. After graduating as a psychologist, I would like to specialize in the legal area, specifically in forensic psychology; my dream is to do a Master in another country like Spain or Italy. 

 Then, I would like to work in Chile in Government Institutions like SENAME, SERNAM or PDI doing psychological assessments. I think working for these institutions is very useful for our country and I believe that psychology can be a real contribution. I wouldn’t work in Santiago, because my family is from the sixth region and I hope work near to my home for visit my family frequently. I prefer working in SENAME because I like the child-adolescent area and I would to help childrens with all kinds of problems.

Also I like to have my own center of clinical attention because I really like the clinical area too, for this I must to specialize in family and couples therapy (my favourites specialties in clinical psychology) I think to do a Master in Europe.

When I have a stable job, I would have a travel around the world. First I would like to know all of Chile, from north to south and then I love to travel around Europe and see different places I've always dreamed of visiting.

My favourite piece of art

Hi everyone!!
Today I'm going to talk about my favourite piece of art. I'm colocolina, Colo-Colo is my favourite football team. I love it! . I think that my favourite piece of art is the "Copa Libertadores de América" that Colo-Colo won 5th, June of 1991 . This day Colo-colo won 3-0 against Olimpia.

The football players that played  in Libertadores de América were: Daniel Morón , Lizardo Garrido, Miguel Ramirez, Javier Margas, Eduardo Vilches, Gabriel Mendoza, Rubén Espinoza, Juan Carlos Peralta, Jaime Pizarro, Marcelo Barticciotto and Rubén Martínez managed by  Mirko Jozic. Is my favorite piece of art because it represents the sacrifice and fight of the colocolina people.

Although I was not born yet, win the Copa Libertadores of America is a historical event in my life, I hope that in 2015 happens again, to the happiness of all colo-colo fans.

Now, colo-colo is second in the league. The first is Universidad de Chile, but in the super classic of the chilean football Colo-colo will win. I´m sure!. 

The next year Colo-Colo play the Copa Libertadores again, with Matías Fernández, Fabián Orellana and Paredes I´m sure that we will win. 

My favorite music

Hi classmates and teacher!!

Today, I’m going to tell you about my favorite music. Honestly, I like a lot of singers like Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys , Adele and Fergie  and bands like The Beatles and Journey. But my favorite is The Beatles.  The Beatles were an English rock band formed by John Lennon (guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass, vocals), George Harrison (guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals).

I love lots of songs of the Beatles, like Let it be, All you need is love, Hey Jude and Yesterday.  My favorite song of the Beatles is Let it be, it’s a hymn for me, helps me forget my problems and be happy with that I have.  This is my favorite part:

Now, I’m feel so sad and I think in Yesterday, my second favorite song, this song represent how I feeling now, I feel a lots of emotions with this song.  I love it!

The most beautiful place ...

Hello teacher and classmates!!
Today I'm going to talk about a country I would like to visit.

 I love Europe, and the place that I`d like to visit is Paris, I love Paris because is a beautiful city, I want to know the Eiffel Tower, one of the most beautiful building of the world, the triumph arc, the Louvre Museum and the Moulin Rouge because these places are the most famous of Paris. I`d like to visit Paris with my mother because I want her to know my favourite place and she deserves a good trip. I think I will go to Paris when I get a good job and a lot of money during the summer holidays.


The other place that I want to know is Venecia, in Italia,  because I think that this place is very romantic. I'd like to visit Venecia with my boyfriend, for travel in a boat for all the country. It`s a very romantic idea <3 I think visit that country in the summer too, because I hate the winter.

I will  travel by plane because is more quickly.

Hello classmates and teacher!! 

        My name is María Fernanda . I'm studying psychology in Universidad de Chile. I´m from Peralillo, in the sixth region, when I lived with my mother and grandparents. My mother is called Zaida and my grandparents are María and Hector. I´m studied in  María Auxiliadora School in Santa Cruz, sixth region too. 

         Now I´m live in Santiago for studying, but I miss my family so much L I love my career and I hope be a good psychologist.

I have a lot of hobbies, I love singing, is my passion. I like dancing and listening music, because I feel free. I like writing poems and stories and reading too. 

In this class I hope improve my english because sometimes I can´t express myself easily. With the blog I hope write and express my thoughts on different topics.

My blogging experience

Hi classmates!

Today in the last post,  I'm going to talk about my blogging experience. For me, writing in the blog has been a wonderful experience. I had another blog before, but in Spanish where I wrote stories and poems made by myself. Now, in my English blog I have learned so much, I think that this tool is a very funny way to learn English grammar, lexis and writing.

 I really liked reading my classmates´s blog, they had very entertaining stories about differents topics. I like to write too,  I've always liked writing about different topics and things. It is a way to express what we think.

I think that with the blog I improved my English writing. Before this experience, I could not express myself easily, now I can talk without problems of different topics.Also, the feedback of Miss Vergara helped us to improved ourselves and improve our English in each post.

I plan to continue using the blog to write and express my thoughts on different topics; also I could translate my stories and poems, and write them in English too. I love writing! In the language it to be.

I hope you all had a nice experience writing the blog too.

My winter holidays

Hello Classmates!

 I´m going to tell you about my winter holidays. This holiday I think to travel to my house, Peralillo sixth region, because I haven’t seen my family a long time ago and I miss them very much. The truth is that I have not thought about what will I do on my vacation, but I would like to meet my friends because I have not seen them a long time ago, I think we should have a good conversation, go to parties and have a good time.

I think I will travel alone, and when I get home the first thing that I'll do is sleep too much, rest and eat delicious food. My grandmother is the best cooker in the world, she always prepares lemon pie, lasagna, cakes and more. I would also like visiting my uncles who live in the city, on july 20^th it will be my uncle’s  birthday and the family will celebrate it.

I think my ideal vacation would be with my family in the south, visiting beautiful places, I would visit Chiloé because I do not know that city and my grandparent told me it was beautiful, I’d also like to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Villarica and Pucon once again, those are places that I love, but on the summer holidays, because on winter it is very cold.

Brazil and the World Cup

Brazil is a country located in South America. It is the world's fifth largest country. It borders Guayana Francesa, Surinam, Guyana and Venezuela to the North; Colombia to the Northwest; Bolivia and Peru to the West; Paraguay and Argentina to the Southeast, and Uruguay to the South. Its capital city is Brasilia and its largest city is Sao Paulo. Its total population is 201,032,714 inhabitants. Its official language is Portuguese and Catholicism is its predominant religion. The form of government in Brazil is a federal presidential republic, where the president is Dilma Rousseff.

 Lately, a series of protests have been occurring in Brazil due to the people’s discontent with the ruling, the Brazilian political system in general, the economic mismanagement, corruption and the rising taxes. But one of the most important reasons for people’s discontent is the 2014 World Cup, which they see as a waste of public resources because of the building of stadiums and the associated works in a country with major problems of education and health. I believe that making the World Cup in Brazil has been very harmful to the country since expenditures totaled 14.000 millions of dollars, an excessive amount of money for a country with so many internal issues. My prediction for the World Cup in Brazil is that Chile will surprise everyone, will leave out Spain and Brazil and will win the World Cup against Argentina, winning 3-2.

An expert on my field that I admire :)

I love legal psychology. In Chile one of the pioneers in this field is my teacher Elias Escaff.

 Elias Escaff is a psychologist at Universidad de Chile. Currently he is Assistant Professor of Legal Psychology in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universidad de Chile, since 1992.

Also, he is Professor Coordinator of the Unit of Victimology of the Regular Program for Training of Judges in the Judicial Academy, and Academic Director of the Masters in Forensic and Legal Strategy Intervention at Universidad Diego Portales.

 Professionally, he served in the Investigations Police of Chile PDI from 1971 to 2003, where he created the first victimology center of the country, the Center for Assistance to Victims of Sexual Abuse CAVAS.

 From 2004 to 2007, he was appointed Manager of the National Division for Victims and Witnesses.

 I like him because he is one of the most important legal psychologists in Chile and he is an eminence in this area. Also he is a great teacher, is very learned, and has extensive experience in teaching.

Remember me

My favorite movie is “Remember me” a romantic drama directed by Allen Coulter, in 2010.

This movie relates about two adolescents, Tyler and Ally. Tyler is a sad and artistic New York student; he was estranged from his father since the suicide of his elder brother Mark. Ally is a beautiful young girl witnesses the senseless murder of her mother. She is the daughter of a police sergeant. They having nothing in common but they are known and finally they fall in love yet just when things seem to work out, fate strikes destroy everything.

I like this movie because is a sweet enough love story and represent the power of love, the importance of family and a moral imperative to live passionately. Also has a very unexpected ending, linked to the twin towers disaster.  I cried a lot with the ending of that movie.

The first time I saw this movie was in 2011 with my best friend Catalina, we both cried a lot. L

Do you have some photo that you love?

Different sensations, different memories, and a lot of emotions...Sometimes we stop a while to look at the beautiful moments that the life gives us. Sometimes we capture this moments, and the best way to do this is through the photography.

Today I’m going to tell about a photo that I like. This photo was taken by a friend in a travel to the south of chile,  when I was in the high school, this photo was taken specifically the december 28th, 2010 . In this, you can see me with my three best friends Catalina, Camila and Vanessa in a boat in the Lican-Ray lake.

This photo brings me back a lot of memories of that day. I enjoyed that day because I was with my friends in the last travel of our last year together in the high school. This day we did many fun things, we visited the Villarica volcano, the Caburga Lake and beautiful places and landscapes that I will never forget.

I miss so much my friends and all the moments we live together, I hope we meet again in a beautiful place like that.

Ring ring!!!

My favourite piece of technology is my cellphone Nokia Lumia 510  :) I bougth it two years ago in Abcdin. I use my cellphone all day , specially in the night. I can`t live without my cellphone!  with the cellphone I can listening to music, calling to my family, taking photos, navigate in internet, and talking with my friends. I like it because I can do everything that I want, it`s easy to manipulate because your operating system is windows phone. 
 Life without it, would be very boring and sad, because I  couldn`t comunicate with my family and my friends, I miss my family because they live away from Santiago and every day I call with my mother and my grandparents, without the cellphone I couldn`t talk with they. 

Finally I love my cellphone because is one of my best friends . 

Expectations for a new semester

Hi! I`m going to talk about my expectations for this semester. I`m in my third year,  this semester I take seven subjects: laboral psychology, clinic psychology, legal psychology, educational psychology and Community psychology , English and a CFG that is called "earthquakes uses and abuses" .

I love legal psychology because it`s very exciting and interesting. I would like to be a legal psychologist in the future. Laboral psychology and community psychology are boring, I don`t like it! . I dislike educational psychology because the teacher is boring and talks a lot, also I don`t like this area. Clinic psychology it`s very difficult because we have to observe patients. 

My CFG its very interesting because Chile is a country of earthquakes. Finally I hope that I may to learn English very well because it's very exciting.

I expect this semester to be full of new experiences, and I may to learn a lot  about differents things.

Who I am ?

Hi! My name is María Fernanda Gaete Leiva. I’m twenty-one years old and I’m studying psychology at Universidad de Chile. I was born in Santa Cruz on October 14, 1992. I have a little family, my grandparents and my mother. My mother is called Zaida, she is the most important person in my life. My grandmother is called María like me; my grandparent is called Héctor. I love my family. I have studied at Victor Jara school and María Auxiliadora school  and here I met my best friends: Catalina and Camila.

 I came to Santiago four years ago, I studied law one year, but I didn’t like it. After that, I thought about studying theater because I love acting and singing, but finally I decided to study psychology, and now I LOVE MY CAREER, I would like to be legal psychologist. Currently I'm in my third year. Yesterday I knew that my boyfriend is my English classmate !!
